My First "First Look"...
I've been doing this Wedding Thing for a long time now... but this was my first "First Look" as the photographer. I've done a few as a videographer.... but this was my first as a photographer. Breaking the tradition of not seeing the bride until she walks down the isle is hard to break. I must say that it did speed up the process of getting the pictures done after the ceremony. Regardless of which way you decide for your wedding day... it will be perfect.
Dance Recital Time....
It is that time of year again where I work with Angela Peters and Twinkle Toes Dance Studio. My connection with the TTD Studio started in 2005 when Angela had asked me if I could video her yearly Dance Recital. It's year 10 for me (I hope I get my 10 year award) and I have seen many dancers go through Angela's studio. It is so nice to see the young dancer grow and mature. Looking back at the video footage from 2005... is just wonderful. Plus, seeing the same volunteers helping out behind the scenes.... and making/moving the scenes.... it's like a family reunion. Speaking of family, Angela's parents usually make the trip from the South to see their daughter/dance instructor showcase the local talent. I started out just doing video in 2005... now I am doing photo's and editing the music for the recital. It is a busy few weeks, but oh so fulfilling.

Central Mountain High School Swim Team Senior Night.
It was another night of hot humid January fun. When you are at a swim meet you almost forget how cold it really is outside. It was Senior Night for the Central Mountain High School Swim Team. Exciting races and cheering fans.... and the ladies relay team broke a school record. Congratulations to all swimmers.

There is so much to see and do at our bridal show; you could literally plan your entire wedding in one day.
2015 Bridal Shows in our Area...
As a Wedding Photographer & Videographer... I like to give brides & grooms info that can make their Wedding planning and wedding day stress free. I suggest that no matter how busy your calendar is... attend as many bridal/wedding expos as you can. While you are there, you can talk to the vendors and ask the questions and see who these people really are. Websites and Facebook Pages are nice, but talking to a vendor will let you know if you are going to be compatible. Pricing is far to often the deciding factor in vendor selection and compatibility is often overlooked. Talk to these vendors and find out if they are just "salesmen" or are they going to be a part of your wedding team.
